Kickboxing refers to a group of martial arts and stand-up combat sports based on very powerful kicking and punching, historically developed from Muay Thai, Karate, Taekwondo and Western Boxing. K-1 Kickboxing is excellent for general fitness and as a full contact ring & cage sport.
K-1 has a established itself as the most exciting form of kickboxing as it’s been designed to produce a fast and exciting match to watch. Typically fought over 3 rounds of 3 minutes it has a reputation of producing very fast and very exciting action.
Beginners Class – This class is for beginners from ages 14 and adults. Techniques are broken down at a much slower pace with a partner and there is no sparring in this class.
Standard Class – This class is suitable for those with more experience or have been through our Beginners class and program. In this class expect lots of fitness and conditioning training, lots of high impact striking development using pad work and kickbag drills as well as live sparring on our 2000 sqft matted area. There are no kick counts as found in mainsteam kickboxing and low kicks and one handed clinches are allowed along with striking with the knee.
