Junior MMA under the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF) is one of the fastest growing sports in the world and it’s also one of the safest sports for children. It has many great benefits, most of which will last for a lifetime! Every parent wants the best for their children and introducing them to MMA and Bjj are a great way to ensure their future success.
Bristol Dojo Gym is registered with IMMAF in England via the EMMAA and is helping to develop a safe environment for children to learn and compete in MMA and other combat sports.
As the name suggests, in Mixed Martial Arts you will be required to study several combat areas such as punching, kicking, grappling, throwing and ground combat. This means you will need to train much more than other students and also join other classes to learn vital MMA skills. The main focus of our training is NoGi Bjj and Kickboxing which is why this class is taught by our Junior Bjj Coach and our Junior Kickboxing Coach.
Our MMA safe training policy means that we do not allow any contact to the head in our junior program so we emphasise grappling. By working with EMMAA headed up by UFC referee Marc Goddard we have a clear development path from gym to local competition to representing your country at world and European level.
